Hansen Ag Placement is seeking a Feedlot Assistant Manager for a progressive, family-owned cattle feeding operation in South Dakota to oversee day-to-day activities at the primary yard.

This hands-on leadership role offers real responsibility, autonomy, and long-term growth, with a compensation package starting in the $60,000–$65,000 range plus housing options, a work vehicle, bonuses, beef program, and career progression within a 60-mile network.

• Must have feedyard experience.
• Strong leadership and ownership of responsibilities.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to their system.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the primary feedyard.
• Monitor and execute feeding programs (limit-fed system).
• Maintain cattle health and performance.
• Ensure efficient workflow across the yard.
• Assist with operations at additional yards as needed.
• Serve as the go-to leader on-site.
