Job summary

Southwest Airlines is seeking a Ramp Supervisor to lead Ramp Agents, ensure aircraft arrivals and departures stay on schedule, and uphold safety standards at the Rhode Island station. You will guide the team, manage shift bids, and coordinate with multiple departments to keep operations smooth.

The role emphasizes leadership, adherence to labor contracts, and daily reporting with a focus on safe, efficient service and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, and coordination of people and resources.
Knowledge of applicable collective bargaining agreements and their applications.
Knowledge of principles and methods for moving people or goods by air, rail, sea, or road, including costs and benefits.
Knowledge of customer service principles and satisfaction evaluation.
Knowledge of security operations and office procedures.

Responsibilities

Actively coordinate with all Departments to maintain the station's on-time performance, employee morale, and Customer satisfaction.
Monitor and guide ground support performance to ensure requirements are met.
Ensure equipment including GSE is maintained and available for the operation.
Oversee day-to-day airport operations to create a safe, secure, and legally compliant service-conscious environment.
Maintain a safe working environment and institute programs to reduce accidents and injuries.
