Job summary

Menzies Aviation in Tampa is seeking a Ramp Supervisor to lead ramp agents during aircraft loading and unloading, directing operations and coordinating with ground crew. You will drive small ground service vehicles and ensure safety and efficiency in all weather conditions.

The role requires 1+ year ramp experience, a valid US driver’s license, ability to lift 70 lbs, and flexible shifts including weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
• Must pass pre-employment drug test.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write in English.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Capable of lifting comfortably 70 lbs.
• At least one year of ramp experience preferred.
• Must be able to successfully complete Training.
• Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Work is done indoors and outdoors; comfortable in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Supervise lead agents; allocating ramp agent resources as needed.
• Complete shift reports and clear all exceptions from the T&A system in a timely manner.
• Ensure that ramp personnel adheres to established company safety regulations.
• Read and interpret aircraft weight and balance loading instructions, hazardous material identification labels, aircraft loading manifest, and baggage and cargo routing tags.
• Assist in the baggage handling area.
• May occasionally operate various pieces of ground support equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.
