Job summary

PrimeFlight is seeking a Ramp Supervisor to lead a ramp team responsible for aircraft loading, towing, baggage handling, and ground services. You will coordinate turnarounds, train staff, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance in a fast-paced airport environment.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment.
• Must hold a valid driver's license.
• Communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in ramp operations or a related aviation field.
• Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of ramp safety and operational procedures.
• Ability to access and interpret information on electronic devices (IPads/Tablets, Computers, Mobile Devices).
• Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, RAIC, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs as applicable).
• Airlines are 24/7, so shifts including nights, weekends and holidays are required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise ramp team operations including aircraft loading/unloading.
• Coordinate ramp activities for timely flight turnarounds.
• Train and mentor ramp team on procedures and safety.
• Monitor compliance with airline and airport regulations.
• Conduct pre-shift briefings on tasks and safety focus points.
• Oversee baggage, cargo, and mail handling to prevent damage or loss.
• Manage communication between ramp team, flight crew and ground operations.
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of ground support equipment.
• Enforce safety measures and hazard prevention on the ramp.
• Respond to operational issues and emergencies.
• Support teamwork to meet flight schedules and service standards.
• Perform performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff.
• Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and related guidelines.
• Liaise with other airport departments for coordinated operations.
• Maintain records of ramp operations and incidents.
• Promote safety and professionalism within the team.
