Job summary

PrimeFlight Aviation Services, Inc. is seeking a Ramp Supervisor to lead a team of ramp agents and ensure safe, efficient aircraft handling on the ground. You will direct baggage handling, towing, and aircraft servicing while upholding strict safety and operational standards.

You will train and mentor staff, coordinate with flight crews and airport operations, and make quick decisions to keep on-time turnarounds. Flexibility for shifts is required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Must hold a valid driver's license.
• Minimum of 2 years of ramp operations or related aviation experience.
• Proven supervisory or leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of ramp safety and procedures.
• Ability to use mobile devices (IPads/Tablets) for work tasks.
• Willing to work nights, weekends and holidays.
• Pass a background check and drug screen.
• Eligible for required credentials (FAA/TSA/RAIC).

Responsibilities

• Supervise ramp team operations, including aircraft loading and unloading.
• Coordinate ramp activities to ensure timely turnaround of flights.
• Train and mentor ramp team on procedures and safety.
• Monitor compliance with airline and airport regulations.
• Conduct pre-shift briefings to discuss tasks and safety.
• Oversee baggage, cargo, and mail handling to prevent damage or loss.
• Maintain communication with flight crews and ground operations.
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of ground support equipment.
• Implement and enforce safety measures and hazard prevention.
• Respond to operational issues and emergencies.
• Promote teamwork to meet flight schedules and service standards.
• Conduct evaluations and provide feedback to ramp team members.
• Ensure DOT compliance and update staff on regulations as required.
• Liaise with other airport departments for coordinated operations.
• Maintain records of ramp operations and incidents.
