Job summary

American Airlines at Bradley International Airport in Windsor Locks, CT is hiring Fleet Service Clerks. You will move baggage, operate loaders, service aircraft at gates, tow aircraft and handle cabin services in varying weather and shifts.

Starting pay is $20.63 per hour, with benefits including health coverage, travel perks, and retirement options. This role requires flexible hours, compliance with safety and security procedures, and the ability to obtain necessary badges.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (or international equivalent) is required.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Lift, load, unload, and transport baggage and cargo to/from aircraft and baggage carts/ conveyors.
• Basic computer skills required to operate systems and reporting.
• People-oriented, motivated, with good communication.
• Valid driver’s license as required by local authorities.
• Must be able to secure airport authority/security badges as applicable.
• Pre-employment drug screen and background checks are required.
• Ability to obtain jet bridge certification.
• US Postal Service background check may be required.

Responsibilities

• Move baggage and cargo to and from aircraft.
• Drive and operate belt loaders.
• Service aircraft at gates with ground power and air conditioning.
• Tow and pushback aircraft from gates.
• Service aircraft lavatories and water ports.
• Clean interior of aircraft when needed.
• Position beverage and luggage carts around the ramp area.
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Work shifts that include irregular/extended hours, weekends and holidays.
