Job summary

American Airlines in Fort Worth, TX seeks a Fleet Service Agent to handle baggage, cargo and aircraft servicing. The role requires a Bachelor's degree and pays $20–$30 per hour. You will work outdoors in varied weather, operate belt loaders, and support aircraft at gates with ground power and air conditioning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or GED or global equivalent
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Lift, load, unload, and transport bags and cargo to/from aircraft
• Ability to use basic computer skills
• People-oriented with a friendly, cooperative attitude
• Good communication skills
• Valid driver's license as required by local government
• Ability to obtain airport authority and/or US Customs badges, if relevant
• Pre-employment drug screen, background check and/or fingerprinting
• Ability to attain jet bridge certification
• Ability to pass the USA Postal Service background check

Responsibilities

• Pass baggage and load items to and from aircraft
• Drive and operate belt loaders
• Service aircraft at gates with ground power and air conditioning
• Tow and push back aircraft from gates
• Service aircraft lavatories and water ports
• Clean interior of aircraft when needed
• Operate beverage and luggage carts around the ramp area
• Work outside in various weather conditions
• Work shifts including irregular and/or extended hours, weekends and holidays
