Job summary

American Airlines is seeking Fleet Service Clerks to handle, load and transport cargo and baggage on and off aircraft across our ramp and cargo facilities. The role includes operating belt loaders, servicing aircraft at gates, and maintaining clean cabin areas, with outdoor work in varying weather and shift schedules.

Starting pay is $20.03 per hour under the TWU collective bargaining agreement. Health benefits, travel perks, and other programs are offered as part of the package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or international equivalent.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Ability to obtain airport and/or US Customs security badges, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Move baggage and cargo of various weights to and from aircraft.
• Drive and operate belt loaders.
• Service aircraft at gates with ground power and air conditioning.
• Tow and pushback aircraft from gates.
• Service aircraft lavatories and water ports.
• Clean interior of aircraft when needed.
• Position beverage and luggage carts around the ramp area.
• Work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Work shifts that include irregular and/or extended hours, weekends and holidays.
