Job summary

Pegasus Aviation Services, an Akima company, is seeking a Ramp Service Lead (CSR) to oversee load planning and ground handling for large cargo aircraft at an Alaska-based facility. Reports to the Station Manager and leads a ramp crew of up to 15.

The role includes safety oversight, equipment operation, and coordinating with customers and RSA staff, with duties including weight and balance calculations and de-icing operations.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Possess a valid driver’s license.
• Must be willing to work in inclement weather.
• Must possess excellent communication skills.
• Ability to lift 60 pounds comfortably.
• Able to fluently read, write, speak and understand English.
• Ability to work under stressful situations and tight time constraints.
• Self-motivated, team player.
• Required to work nights, weekends, holidays, and varying schedules.
• Able to work without direct supervision.
• Successfully complete a background investigation, including FBI fingerprints, criminal history and pre-employment drug test

Responsibilities

• Responsible for maintaining safety and security of ramp activities at all times.
• Conduct day to day interface with customer’s staff.
• Provide leadership and training to Pegasus Ramp Service Agent (RSA) staff.
• Perform aircraft weight and balance calculations.
• Operate all ground service equipment to include heavy cargo loaders.
• Operate aircraft de-icing equipment
• General maintenance of ground service equipment.
• Miscellaneous duties as assigned by Station Manager.
