Menzies Aviation in Chicago, IL seeks a Ramp Agent to lead the outbound bag room and unload/load cargo on aircraft. You will operate motorized equipment, read load sheets, and ensure safe, compliant loading. The role requires 70 lb lifting, outdoor shifts, and FAA/airport badge readiness.

Must have Ramp/Airline experience, high school diploma or GED, and pass drug and background checks. Flexible shifts, weekends, and holidays are required.

Qualificações

• Prior Ramp/Airline experience required.
• Must be able to proficiently speak, read, and write in English.
• Must have high school diploma, GED or six months experience as a Ramp Agent.
• Must pass pre-employment testing, including a drug test.
• Must possess and maintains valid US driver's license with no violations over the past 5 years.
• Capable of safely lifting up to 70 lbs. continuously.
• Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including overtime, weekends and holidays.
• Work is done primarily outdoors, must be comfortable working in all weather conditions.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain all required Airport security badge.
• Pass FBI background and obtain US Customs Seal
• Prior loading and unloading of heavy products or equipment (preferred).
• Ability to perform basic math calculations
• Ability to work at heights up to forty (40) feet

Responsabilidades

• Safely lift/move 70 lbs of cargo from outbound bag room, on and off aircraft, and transport between locations.
• Frequent bending, stretching, push/pull, stacking in confined locations.
• Lead and participate in movement of cargo and baggage on and off aircraft and between areas.
• Operate motorized equipment.
• Read, interpret and complete weight sheets, labels, manifests, and routing tags.
• Ensure load safety and compliance for flights.
• Assist Ramp Agents to maintain professional safety standards.
• Train employees during on-the-job or airline training.
• Attend mandatory training as per role.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
