Job summary

Menzies-Aviation- in Orlando is seeking a Ramp Supervisor to direct ramp agents in loading/unloading luggage, freight, and cargo for commercial aircraft. You will supervise lead agents, allocate resources, and ensure safety while following loading instructions and procedures.

The role requires 18+ years old, a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift 70 lbs. Training will be provided and weekend/holiday shifts are common.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
• Must pass all pre-employment testing including a drug test.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write in English.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Capable of lifting comfortably 70 lbs.
• At least one year of prior ramp experience preferred.
• Must be able to successfully complete Training.
• Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Work is indoors and outdoors; comfortable in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Directs the work of ramp agents; allocates ramp agent resources as needed.
• Completes shift reports and clears exceptions in the T&A system.
• Ensures ramp personnel adhere to safety regulations.
• Reads and interprets aircraft weight and balance loading instructions, hazardous material labels, loading manifests, and baggage/cargo routing tags.
• Assists in the baggage handling area.
• May operate ground support equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.
