Job summary

Menzies Aviation in Milwaukee area seeks a Ramp Supervisor to oversee unloading/loading of luggage and freight on commercial aircraft. You will also drive small vehicles, perform heavy lifting, and mentor staff.

The role requires prior ramp/airline experience and a willingness to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays. Candidates must be 18+, hold a valid US driver’s license, pass drug and background checks, and read/write/speak English.

Qualifications

• Prior Ramp/Airline experience required.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Possess valid US driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Pass pre-employment drug screen and all pre-employment testing.
• Ability to proficiently read, write and speak English.
• Must be comfortable lifting 70lbs repetitively.
• Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Pass FBI background and obtain US Customs Seal.
• Read and sign required manuals including Station Quality, Emergency Response and Security.

Responsibilities

• Supervise lead agents and allocate ramp resources as needed.
• Move cargo and baggage on and off aircraft and between facilities.
• Ensure ramp personnel follow safety regulations.
• Mentor and train new employees.
• Interview, hire, train, evaluate, and discipline staff as needed.
• Complete shift reports and sign timecards.
• Assist in performance evaluations and disciplinary reports.
• Assist in baggage handling and conduct shift briefings.
• Read loading instructions, identify labels, and operate motorized equipment.
