Job summary

JINYA Ramen Bar is seeking a Back of House team member to support the Kitchen Manager and deliver high-quality ramen with consistency and care. This role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and precise food preparation in a fast-paced kitchen.

You will learn to prepare ramen, manage line duties, maintain cleanliness, and follow recipes and safety policies. English or Spanish literacy is required; you should be reliable, flexible, and able to work weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Requires restaurant kitchen experience and knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment.
• Demonstrates ability to multitask in a high-volume kitchen and work under pressure.
• Shows attention to detail, reliability, and self-motivation.
• Able to read and follow written instructions and adapt to directions.
• Experience working in multicultural teams and flexible availability including weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Proactively support back of house tasks to improve efficiency and cleanliness.
• Learn to prepare ramen, appetizers, and menu items per recipes and manager instructions.
• Execute proper food preparation, cooking techniques, and plating standards.
• Maintain food safety, sanitation, and kitchen cleanliness.
• Follow health, safety, and operational policies; operate kitchen equipment safely.
• Communicate clearly with BOH and FOH teams and support guest service.
