Qualifications

• Typically requires a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering and two or more years of engineering experience.
• Must have a basic understanding of engineering concepts, principles, and theory.
• Demonstrates the ability to follow and apply basic engineering knowledge, adapt standard techniques, and utilize required diagnostics while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.
• Must be able to understand new concepts quickly and apply them in an evolving environment.
• Ability to impact design through clear and concise Reliability & Maintainability analysis and design requirements.
• Good communication, computer, and interpersonal skills are required to enable effective interface with other professionals, to produce documentation, and to present results.

Responsibilities

• Learn aircraft and ground station subsystems and become an expert on how the systems work.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Access. Maintain and improve Reliability Databases to assess reliability performance through system life cycle, provide trend analysis, develop and monitor reliability growth.
• Develop Reliability and Maintainability Models and Reliability Block Diagrams (RBDs).
• Conduct Failure Modes Effects Criticality Analysis (FMECA) and Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM).
• Impact design through reliable and maintainable analysis and design requirements.
• Develop and communicate new concepts; organize, schedule, and coordinate work phases; determine the approach at task or project level to provide solutions to complex problems.
• Support the Design Assurance process and other related design review milestones (PDR, CDR, etc.).
• Work independently and/or as part of a team, and perform multiple and complex tasks in one or more engineering areas.
