Job summary

General Atomics is seeking a System Safety and RAM Engineering Manager in San Diego, CA. The position is full-time in the Systems Engineering Integration department, offering high-visibility responsibility in defense and aerospace systems.

Qualifications

• Typically requires an engineering degree with advanced study or equivalent experience.
• Proven safety, RAM and reliability leadership on complex programs.
• Experience guiding multi-disciplinary teams through development to production.
• Familiarity with program milestones and design reviews (SRR, SFR, PDR/CDR, TRR, AR).
• Strong communication and leadership skills with customer and government interface.
• Ability to obtain/maintain top-secret DOE-DOD clearance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and lead RAM and Safety activities across programs.
• Define roles, processes, and core RAM practices for teams.
• Ensure schedule, cost, and performance objectives are met.
• Represent the RAM function to management and customers.
• Drive process improvements and maintain engineering quality.
