Job summary

Florida Gulf Coast University is seeking an Advancement Services Specialist to support University Advancement by entering data, maintaining the Raiser's Edge donor database, and processing gifts with accuracy.

The role emphasizes confidentiality, precise donor record-keeping, and timely acknowledgments, with collaboration across university teams. Experience with Raiser's Edge or similar donor management software is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and four years of related full-time experience.
• Experience with data entry, records management, or clerical support.
• MS Office experience (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Any combination of education, experience, and/or certifications may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Receives, logs, posts, and receipts all donations daily using Raiser’s Edge NXT donor software.
• Maintains an accurate data process for cash, check, and online contributions.
• Prepares donor acknowledgement letters and tax receipts as appropriate.
• Maintains constituent records and gift documentation in accordance with retention guidelines.
• Ensures compliance with monetary handling protocols and cash receivables procedures.
• Assists with project mailings and data manipulation via mail merge.
• Processes matching gifts and related paperwork; responds to matching gift requests.
