Job summary

ConGlobal is seeking a Railyard Operations Manager to lead daily railyard activities with a strong emphasis on safety, performance, and productivity. You will coordinate railcar prep and loading/unloading while ensuring regulatory compliance and efficient workflow.

Qualifications include 3–5 years of supervisory hands-on experience in railyard operations, a proven safety record, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years of supervisory experience in railyard operations or related field.
• Strong safety record with excellence in safety observations.
• Experience managing shifts of 10–20 employees in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must pass pre-employment background verification, physical and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage daily railyard operations with safety and productivity focus.
• Coordinate and prepare railcars for loading and unloading activities.
• Verify inbound and outbound train numbers for accuracy and compliance.
• Direct ramp crew movements to maintain timely operations.
• Identify operational challenges and implement problem-solving strategies.
• Enforce safety regulations and coach staff as needed.
• Monitor LPH performance to meet efficiency targets.
• Oversee staff scheduling and shift coordination.
• Perform reporting, documentation, and staff training.
• Maintain clear communication across teams for alignment and success.
