Job summary

ConGlobal is seeking a Railyard Operations Manager to lead day-to-day operations at the railyard terminal. You will coordinate railcar preparation, validate train numbers, and manage ramp crew movements with a strong emphasis on safety, performance, and productivity.

You will engage in staff scheduling, coaching on safety, and administrative duties to ensure efficient workflow and regulatory compliance in a fast-paced outdoor environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years of supervisory experience in railyard operations or related field.
• Strong safety record with documenting safety observations.
• Experience managing shifts of 10–20 employees in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven ability to monitor and improve LPH performance.
• Must pass pre-employment background, physical, and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage daily railyard operations to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Coordinate and prepare railcars for loading/unloading.
• Verify inbound/outbound train numbers for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Direct ramp crew movements to maintain timely operations.
• Identify operational challenges and implement problem-solving strategies.
• Coach staff on safety matters and enforce company policies.
• Oversee staff scheduling and shift coordination.
• Perform administrative duties including reporting and performance tracking.
