Job summary

voestalpine Railway Systems Nortrak, North America's premier designer and manufacturer of special trackwork, invites you to join our team in Spokane Valley, Washington as a Maintenance Technician. You will perform preventive maintenance on equipment and follow safe work practices to keep production efficient and safe.

Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will read work orders, develop PM schedules, and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, while upholding our Nortrak Blue

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technician college degree a plus.
• Minimum four years of proven industrial experience.
• Ability to read work orders and blueprints preferred.
• Certification in electrical, hydraulics, and/or metal fabrication preferred.
• Proficient as an industrial electrician and one or more core crafts.
• Knowledge of 480 volt 3-phase and industrial controls.
• Experience in welding and pneumatic operations is an asset.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment safely and efficiently.
• Must be able to work as a team member and collaborate with colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements.
• Develop maintenance PM schedule and perform regular preventive maintenance.
• Locate sources of problems by observing and listening to mechanical devices in operation.
• Cover the plant operations as it relates to manufacturing and shipping.
• Ensure all equipment is outfitted for safe operation.
• Ensure all equipment is capable of manufacturing quality products efficiently.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
• Adhere to Nortrak’s Environmental, Safety and Quality Procedures, Practices and Policies.
• Model and lead our Nortrak Blue culture and values.
• Other duties as assigned.
