AECOM seeks a Project Engineer, Communications, for construction-heavy projects in California. This on-site role leads railway communications, oversees fiber optic and IP/MPLS networks, and coordinates interfaces across signaling, SCADA, and IT teams.

The position requires a strong background in engineering deliverables, regulatory coordination, and testing/commissioning of complex transportation systems, with travel 25–50% along the alignment.

Qualificações

• BA/BS + 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Telecommunications/Systems Engineering or related field.
• Experience taking communications systems from design through testing, commissioning, and final acceptance.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare, review, and approve communications engineering deliverables throughout design, construction, testing and commissioning.
• Coordinate interfaces between communications, signaling, traction power, SCADA, and IT teams.
• Provide technical oversight for fiber optic backbone networks, telecom systems, and IP/MPLS networks.
• Support FCC licensing and frequency coordination activities and regulatory approvals.
• Develop and review test plans, procedures, and commissioning strategies.
