Job summary

RailWorks is seeking a Craft Foreman to direct work groups on active railway property and through construction zones. You will ensure that contractors clear the working zone prior to train approach, following railway operating rules and procedures to minimize delays.

The role emphasizes safety, communication, and hands-on leadership. You will supervise signaling setup, inspections, and daily briefings, while coordinating with supervisors and Rail Traffic Controllers to maintain project schedules

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of railway industry experience.
• Experience with timber bridge repair preferred.
• Ability to read schedules, railway plans, and specifications.
• Safety-sensitive position directing work groups on live railway corridors.

Responsibilities

• Direct work groups on active railway property and through construction zones.
• Set up, reposition, and dismantle railway signals (flags) at designated locations.
• Communicate with the work group, flagmen, and Rail Traffic Controllers using established procedures.
• Maintain company vehicles and perform daily inspections.
• Perform administrative duties related to proper documentation per Quality Management System.
