Job summary

Travero in Cedar Rapids, IA, is seeking a skilled track maintenance worker to construct, maintain, repair, and dismantle railroad track and related facilities. You will operate gas-powered and pneumatic tools while working outdoors in all weather, complying with CRANDIC, GCOR and FRA standards.

The role requires a High School Diploma, a valid driver’s license with CDL within 60 days, and willingness to work overtime and weekends. DOT drug/alcohol testing applies, and safety gear is provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous construction and/or welding experience preferred.
• Must possess valid driver’s license and ability to obtain CDL within 60 days.
• DOT drug and alcohol testing requirements apply.

Responsibilities

• Construct, maintain, repair, and dismantle railroad track and right-of-way.
• Operate power tools and pneumatic tools.
• Work outdoors in all weather and around heavy equipment.
• Follow CRANDIC rules, GCOR and FRA standards.
• Wear required PPE and ensure safety compliance.
• Flexibility to work overtime and weekends.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
