You will collaborate on real-world railway projects, gain hands-on experience in design, development, and project execution, and support senior engineers.

As part of Benesch's Railroad Division, you will work with a team of rail professionals, develop design deliverables, perform calculations, and help coordinate layouts

Qualifications

• Pursuing a BS in Civil or Construction Engineering or related curriculum is required.
• Experience with developing plans and specifications using MicroStation is expected.
• Strong organization and leadership skills with a track record for adhering to budgets and schedules.
• Ability to perform complex analysis and design.
• Ability to assemble a complete design package for assigned elements or projects.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and development of railway and transit infrastructure projects.
• Conduct engineering calculations for railway system design and analysis.
• Support the design of system layouts while coordinating with various disciplines.
• Develop task deliverables in a clear, thorough, and reviewable manner.
• Ensure tasks are completed on schedule and within the assigned budget.
• Work independently under the direction of a Project Manager.
