National Railroad Safety Services, Inc. (NRSS) is seeking a Contractor in Charge (CIC) in Fairfield, CA to oversee construction, maintenance, and safety compliance for freight railroads, transit systems, and state DOTs.

This role requires leading site safety, coordinating with railroad personnel, and ensuring adherence to FRA regulations. The CIC will conduct job briefings, monitor train movements, and manage documentation and compliance across multiple deployments.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a railroad company.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Willingness to travel 50–85% of the time.
• Completes all required federal, client, and company training.

Responsabilités

• Oversee worksite safety and provide flagging services as needed.
• Ensure compliance with FRA regulations (49 CFR 214) when working near tracks.
• Monitor track conditions and coordinate with dispatchers to ensure safe operations.
• Document all activities, briefs, incident reports, and daily logs for management and regulators.
• Enforce Railroad, State, and Federal policies.
