Fort Worth & Western Railroad (FWWR) is hiring Conductor Trainees in Fort Worth, TX. This full-time role includes a paid training period and progression to Conductor/Engineer levels based on qualification and performance.

Responsibilities include coordinating railcar classifications, switching operations, and safety-compliant train handling; maintaining records; and reporting to the operations center. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and a Texas driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must hold a valid Texas driver's license.
• Safety-focused with ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Conduct job briefings and coordinate daily activities of classification of railcars and switching tracks.
• Receive instructions from MTO or Dispatcher indicating cars to be switched or handled.
• Perform train inspections and airbrake testing per regulations.
• Maintain records of contents and destinations of railcars and manage set outs.
• Report origin, destination, and location of switched cars to the operations center.
• Ensure daily train list is communicated to the operations center and documents are accurate.
• Document and report accidents, stops, or delays.
• Ensure all reporting is accurate and timely.
• Comply with GCOR, safety, hazardous materials rules and instructions.
• Switch, classify cars and deliver to customer facilities and remove empties.
