Watco is hiring for conductor/engineer roles responsible for controlling and coordinating train movements at yards, plants, or terminals to load and unload railcars safely. The position requires manual labor and the ability to learn from training and perform switching operations with strict adherence to railroad rules.

Candidates must read and understand switching orders, communicate effectively in English, and maintain accurate records.

Qualifications

• Ability to pass training and required testing

Responsabilités

• Demonstrate predictable, reliable, and timely attendance
• Read, write, and communicate in English & understand basic math
• Supervises and coordinates the activities of train crews
• Operates locomotive in yard or cab following railroad rules and regulations
• Reads and interprets switching orders and signals to move cars
• Maintains records of cars switched and cargo
• Performs switching operations and uses signals to guide movements
