Job summary

Starting pay is $24.00 per hour. The position requires reading and following orders, signaling, and coordinating with crew and management during operations and training periods.

Qualifications

• Ability to pass training and required testing.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate train movements and switching of railcars in yards or facilities.
• Read, write, and communicate in English; follow switching orders and signals.
• Operate locomotive including throttle and air brakes; observe safety rules.
• Maintain records of cars switched, origin, destination, and cargo.
• Communicate with crew via radio; coordinate with dispatcher and engineers.
