Genesee & Wyoming Inc. is seeking a Conductor for Kyle Railroad Company in Phillipsburg, KS. This full-time role includes classroom and hands-on training to build a long-term career in rail freight operations.

You will work outdoors in all weather, comply with safety regulations, and communicate with the team to coordinate train movements. The position requires physical activity, lifting up to 75 pounds, and willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Requires good communication, both written and verbal.
• Demonstrates situational awareness and sound decision-making in safety-sensitive environments.
• Experience in safety-sensitive settings is a plus.
• Must be able to read and follow regulations and instructions.

Responsabilités

• Comply with federal, state, and railroad safety regulations.
• Communicate with team using oral, written, signals or radio to coordinate train movements.
• Operate track switches to determine train routes.
• Inspect train and equipment for safety during movement and at rest.
• Utilize basic computer skills for reporting and documentation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
