The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) NYC Transit is seeking a senior manager to lead the Scheduled Maintenance System (SMS) program for all revenue rail fleets. You will direct an engineering staff, interface with procurement, production planning, and NYCT senior management, and ensure plans align with budget and schedules.

You will oversee BOMs, maintenance requirements, and obsolescence strategies, while supervising overhaul procedures, manuals, and documentation.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent as per ad.
• Seven years of professional experience.
• Three years of managerial/supervisory experience.

Aufgaben

• Develop and manage the long-range SMS program for all revenue car fleets.
• Establish and maintain SMS plans, schedules, and program requirements for overhaul activities.
• Lead component teardown and analysis to identify maintenance needs and material demands.
• Develop BOMs, material forecasts, work scopes, and maintenance requirements.
• Address obsolescence with engineering and procurement to identify replacements.
• Oversee prototype installations and testing of new equipment and components.
• Develop, validate, and implement Overhaul Process Manuals and technical work instructions.
• Manage engineering staff, shops, vendors, and suppliers for safe, cost-efficient operations.
• Oversee DCE technical documentation including drawings and catalogs.
• Administer and maintain the eDocs system for records management.
• Review Car History Books and technical deliverables for new procurement contracts.
• Support new car procurement by reviewing manuals and ITM requirements.
• Develop specs and input for repair/upgrade contracts with Procurement and Planning.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to improve fleet reliability and asset performance.
• Perform contractor oversight, invoice review, and policy compliance duties.
