Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 10 years' professional experience, incl. 2 years in a managerial/supervisory capacity.
• New York State P.E. license is required.
• Experience leading engineering teams in railcar systems design and procurement.

Responsibilities

• Develop technical specification requirements for electrical or mechanical systems, defining performance and reliability.
• Lead engineers in design reviews and meetings with carbuilder and suppliers.
• Ensure safety, reliability, and performance while coordinating with NYCT operating groups.
• Oversee design review phases and contract closeout activities.
• Travel to carbuilder/supplier facilities for validation testing.
