Job summary

Transco Railway Products, Inc. is seeking an Entry-Level Repair Technician to support weld and repair work on railcar components. You will learn by doing, assisting welders with cutting and welding operations and performing a variety of rail car repair tasks in a TEAM environment.

The role requires reading specifications, blueprints, and schematics, with a focus on safety and physical capability. Third shift hours are 10:00-6:30am, with a shift differential of $3.00/hr.

Qualifications

• Entry-level role with on-the-job training from experienced welders.
• Must be able to pass drug screen and physical.
• Read specifications, shop drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with proper technique.

Responsibilities

• Assist more experienced welders with cutting and welding operations.
• Align and weld components of metal tools, fixtures and other metal products.
• Learn the trade from experienced coworkers in a TEAM environment.
• Perform basic repairs and use a variety of tools and equipment as directed.
