Job Description

The Railcar Repair Technician conducts all aspects of repair and maintenance on tank cars, demonstrating leadership, teamwork, and safety consciousness.

• Perform railcar repairs using current procedures, conduct inspections, and ensure compliance.
• Provide excellent customer support to meet client expectations.
• Complete all necessary administrative tasks, including invoicing and work orders.
• Maintain certifications and stay updated with AAR rules and regulations.
• Assist with other related tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and proficiency with hand tools.
• Ability to perform basic railcar repairs and inspections.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work safely in all weather conditions.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Physical and Other Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work at heights.
• Ability to wear a respirator and pass physical, drug screening, and background checks.
