Quality Assurance Lab Technician 3rd Shift (Food Processing)

Stratas Foods LLC is the leading supplier of fats and oils to the Foodservice, Food Ingredients, and Retail Private Label markets in North America. We produce quality bulk and packaged dressings, mayonnaise, and sauces. Founded in October 2008 as a joint venture between ACH Food Companies and Archer Daniels Midland, our manufacturing facilities are located across Dallas, Houston, Decatur, Quincy, Englewood, Hillside, Fresno, Nashville, and Valdosta. Responsibilities:

1. Conduct analytical testing of various vegetable oils following Stratas SOPs.
2. Test samples at different process points, including production, inbound, and outbound truck and railcar samples.
3. Communicate test results to management, especially if corrective actions are needed.
4. Prioritize samples upon arrival in the laboratory.
5. Complete analytical testing and documentation promptly.
6. Enter all analysis data into the database (TLC).
7. Learn and adapt to new procedures as necessary.
8. Develop a comprehensive understanding of laboratory processes and procedures.
9. Attend all scheduled training and safety meetings.
10. Follow all safety, food safety, environmental, GMP rules, regulations, and policies.
11. Participate in safety and GMP meetings.
12. Perform quality assurance on packaging lines.
13. Test finished products and incoming materials.
14. Manage storage of production retains.
15. Communicate laboratory results and quality concerns to supervisors or leads.
16. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Three (3) years of laboratory experience preferred.
• Basic data entry skills required.
