Job summary

New York City Transit is seeking a Senior Quality Control Specialist to support Field Quality Assurance and oversee integrity, compliance, and quality of car equipment field modifications and spare parts programs. You will verify reliability, functionality, and completion against approved standards.

The role requires strong technical expertise, meticulous attention to detail, and collaboration with internal departments and external vendors to drive railcar technology initiatives across the fleet.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field and six years of quality control experience.
• 60 semester credits and eight years of related experience.
• Equivalent combination with mandatory 60 credits in related field.

Responsibilities

• Perform Field Modification Instructions (FMIs) and audits.
• Coordinate with MTA internal departments, vendors and consultants to ensure project success.
• Ensure all work meets approved technical standards for reliability and functionality.
