Job summary

Transco Rail Services is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to lead QA, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement within a railcar repair operation in Houston. The role focuses on safety, customer satisfaction, and developing high-performing teams.

You will oversee QA programs, audits, and root-cause analyses while partnering with Operations and Engineering to drive operational excellence and strong customer relationships.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in production, manufacturing, repair, or quality-focused environment.
• Experience managing quality programs, audits, compliance initiatives, and corrective actions.
• Strong root cause analysis, continuous improvement, and quality management principles.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the site's Quality Assurance program to ensure compliance with AAR, FRA, OSHA, EPA, customer, and company requirements.
• Oversee and develop Quality Control Inspectors.
• Coordinate internal and external audits, certifications, recertifications, and regulatory activities.
• Perform facility inspections, final railcar inspections, and documentation reviews.
• Lead root cause analyses, corrective actions, and non-conformance investigations to improve quality and reduce rework.
• Maintain qualification records, training programs, certificates, calibrations, and compliance documentation.
