Wisconsin & Southern RR is seeking a railcar repair technician based in Horicon, WI. Responsibilities include inspecting, maintaining, and repairing rail cars in accordance with FRA and AAR regulations; re-railing cars; estimating damages at derailment sites; and preparing repair billing cards.

The role also involves safe operation of cranes, wheel trucks, and forklifts. You will work with a team dedicated to keeping the rail network moving, with opportunities for on‑the‑job training and career

Formación

• Must be 18 years of age or older with High School or GED equivalent.
• Proficiency with a cutting torch and welding qualifications.
• Reads and interprets blueprints accurately.
• Familiar with FRA and AAR regulations.

Responsabilidades

• Inspect, maintain and repair rail cars per FRA and AAR regulations.
• Re-rail cars and estimate damages at derailment sites.
• Prepare billing repair cards in compliance with AAR office manual.
• Operate mobile cranes, wheel trucks, and forklifts safely.
• Collaborate with other departments during derailment site operations.
