Guardian Rail is hiring a Railcar Repair Technician for our Hastings facility. You will inspect and repair railcars/tank cars using welding and mechanical skills in year-round outdoor conditions.

We value hands-on experience in rail or heavy industry, with a focus on safety, quality, and adherence to FRA/AAR standards. A sign-on bonus of $1,500 is offered and compensation depends on experience.

Qualificações

• High-school diploma or GED required.
• Prior experience as a Carman or Railcar Repair Technician desirable.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and blueprints.
• Must possess basic math skills and understand simple mathematical concepts.
• Certification as E7018 welder preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Repair railcars and tank cars according to FRA and AAR rules.
• Perform pre- and post-inspections of railcars.
• Operate hand and power tools, welding equipment, and cutting torches.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow safety/environmental guidelines.
