Job summary

Watco is hiring for railcar maintenance and inspection roles to keep the nation’s freight moving. Starting pay is $21.00 per hour and duties include inspecting, maintaining, and repairing railcars in compliance with FRA and AAR regulations.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older with High School or GED equivalent.
• Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and maintain rail cars in accordance with FRA and AAR regulations.
• Re-rail cars and provide damage estimates at derailment sites; prepare repair billing cards.
• Read blueprints accurately and perform repairs on foreign and fleet vehicles.
• Ensure compliance with federal requirements, company guidelines, and safety rules.
• Operate mobile cranes, wheel trucks, and forklifts safely; document repairs.
