Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking a Field Technician to perform railcar interior cleaning, inspection, and maintenance. You will work under Tactical Cleaning policies, communicate with the Shop Manager, and support documentation and reporting tasks.

The role requires climbing, confined-space work, safety gear usage, and willingness to travel up to 75% with occasional overtime. Prior freight car experience and a GED/HS diploma are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of freight car/tank car experience preferred.
• Experience with heavy construction, cleaning and/or repair equipment helpful.
• Must be able to travel 50–75% and work overtime as needed.
• Must pass physical exam and drug/alcohol screen.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and clean railcar interiors per customer, FRA, AAR and Tactical Cleaning standards.
• Complete cleaning checklists as required.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment per Health and Safety Program.
• Maintain clear communication with coworkers and management.
• Use water or abrasive methods to clean railcar interiors.
• Dispose of materials per EPA requirements.
• Maintain cleaning equipment (sprayers, nozzles, hoses, basins).
• Ensure permits, QAQC and documentation are filed and distributed.
• Assist with setup and operation of the diesel cleaning system.
• Adhere to production schedules and maintain regular attendance.
• Assist with daily reports and operational documentation.
• Other duties as assigned.
