Job summary

Guardian-Rail, LLC in Maumee, OH is seeking an hourly Paint and Lining worker to apply solvent and water-based paints to railcars, both interior and exterior surfaces.

You will read work orders, follow FRA and AAR rules, and comply with ARS EHS policies while preparing surfaces, masking, and logging paint usage. The role is physically demanding and requires teamwork and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and communicate English at a proficient level.
• High School diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Must read and interpret work orders per FRA/AAR specifications.

Responsibilities

• Apply solvent and water-based paints to railcars interiors and exteriors.
• Notify supervisor of materials/equipment needs to complete tasks.
• Prepare surfaces, mask, caulk, and cover parts to prevent overspray.
• Set up and operate paint equipment and maintain logs of usage.
• Inspect finished work for quality and compliance with client specs.
