Qualifications

• Previous painting, construction, industrial, or general labor experience preferred.
• Experience with brush and roller painting is a plus.
• Able to learn surface preparation and painting techniques.
• Comfortable around large railcars and industrial equipment.
• Physically able to lift up to 75 lbs and perform bending, kneeling, climbing, standing.

Responsibilities

• Prepare railcar surfaces by sanding, scraping, cleaning and removing contaminants.
• Perform touch-up painting with brushes and rollers.
• Apply primer and paint to railcars and components as directed.
• Mask and protect areas not to be painted.
• Assist coatings team with painting and prep tasks.
• Clean and maintain painting tools and equipment.
