Job summary

Transco Rail Services seeks a Blaster to operate blasting equipment and remove rust, scale, paint and other materials from railcars and related equipment. You will work in a team where safety comes first, in a fast-paced environment across railcars and components.

The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, working in adverse weather, and collaborating closely with teammates to ensure high-quality surface prep and coatings. Drug screen and reliable attendance are required.

Qualifications

• Operate blasting equipment to remove rust, scale and paint from railcars.
• Must lift up to 50 pounds and work in adverse weather.
• Ability to work in a team with regular attendance and pass drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Blast interior and exterior surfaces of railcars using appropriate media.
• Prime, paint and stencil surfaces after blasting.
• Perform preventative maintenance on blast and recovery systems.
• Keep work areas clean and report hazards.
