Job summary

Transco Rail Services, part of Marmon Holdings, is hiring a Blaster to operate blasting equipment for railcars and related equipment. The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and physical endurance in demanding environments. Candidates should be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform surface prep with various blast media.

Drug screen and physical may be required. Pay ranges are provided along with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work in a TEAM environment with safety as a priority.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds with proper body mechanics.
• Ability to perform physical activities including climbing, lifting, balancing, and handling materials.

Responsibilities

• Operate blasting equipment to remove rust, scale, paint and other materials from railcars and equipment.
• Adjust equipment as necessary to perform efficient blasting.
• Prepare surfaces of railcars and components using various blast media methods.
• Perform preventative maintenance on blast and recovery systems.
• Maintain a clean and orderly materials area and report hazards.
• Work in adverse weather conditions and maintain regular attendance.
• Pass drug screen and physical as required.
