Job summary

New York Air Brake in Watertown, NY is seeking an Assembly worker for 1st shift (5:30 AM–4:00 PM, Mon–Thu). You will perform routine assembly of passenger rail car parts on a manual line, using pneumatic and power tools, while maintaining quality and safety standards.

You will contribute to continuous improvement, document progress, and keep work areas organized. Training and benefits are provided in a team-driven environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; experience in production environment acceptable.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical/mechanical schematics/drawings.
• Basic math and unit conversion understanding.
• Capable of organizing and prioritizing multiple tasks in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Assemble passenger rail car parts on a manual line following work instructions.
• Provide verbal and written status of manufacturing progress.
• Use pneumatic, hand and power tools as required (drill, rivet gun, etc.).
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and support quality policies.
• Possibly train others in manufacturing methods.
