Job summary

Siemens Mobility, Rolling Stock Division, Lexington, NC, is seeking an Assembler Technician I to support the final assembly of passenger locomotives, coaches and light rail vehicles. In a fast-paced production environment, you will build up units, install components, and route wiring under supervision, contributing to high-quality rail vehicles.

You will work Monday to Thursday, 5:30am to 4:00pm, using blueprints and diagrams to complete subassemblies with strong attention to detail and safety

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read blueprints, diagrams and part lists is helpful.
• Basic written and verbal English communication required.

Responsibilities

• Assemble units in passenger coaches including roofs, cable harnesses, panels and racks.
• Install mechanical components such as insulation, sidewall panels and seating.
• Route and connect electrical wiring to final termination points and subassemblies.
• Follow production blueprints, wiring diagrams and parts lists to build subassemblies.
• Perform tasks with dexterity on small parts in a production setting.
