Job summary

New York Air Brake, a Knorr-Bremse company, is seeking a Repair Technician 1 for the Riverside, MO facility. The role trains on 1st shift (Mon-Thurs 6:00am-4:30pm) before transferring to 2nd shift (Mon-Thur 4:45pm to 3:15am). Starting pay is $17-19/hour plus $1/hour differential, with overtime on Fridays and quarterly bonuses.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years related experience preferred.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Basic disassembly and washing, and reassembly of freight or locomotive valves or brake pistons.
• Operation of semi-automatic equipment such as pedestal buffers, hand buffers, wash machines, ultrasonic washers.
• Handle valves, parts, tools in a safe manner.
• Proper use of power and manual tools (impact wrenches, drills, EZ Outs).
• Follow quality and safety rules and procedures; comply with regulatory requirements.
• Hazardous waste management duties as necessary; DOT Hazmat shipper training every three years.
