Job summary

New York Air Brake LLC in Riverside, Missouri, is seeking a Repair Technician I for the 2nd shift, with training on the morning shift Monday to Thursday. After transition to 2nd shift, hours run 4:45 PM–3:15 AM with overtime on Fridays and a $1/hr shift differential.

Responsibilities include disassembly and assembly of freight locomotive valves or brake pistons, operating wash and buffing equipment, and performing work safely per quality and safety standards. Benefits start day one.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years related experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with assistance.
• Knowledge of measuring devices.
• Good mechanical skills.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, wash, and reassemble valves or brake pistons.
• Operate pedestal buffers, wash machines, and ultrasonic washers.
• Handle valves, parts, and tools safely.
• Use power and hand tools (impact wrenches, drills, EZ Outs).
• Follow quality, safety, and regulatory policies.
• Assist with hazardous waste management and DOT compliance.
