New York Air Brake is seeking a Repair Technician 1- 1st shift (Locomotive) in Riverside, Missouri. Mon-Thu 6:00 AM–4:30 PM with overtime Fridays; starting pay $17–$19 per hour based on experience.

The role involves disassembly and reassembly of locomotive components, identifying serviceable parts, and operating shop equipment. You will handle parts safely, follow quality/safety policies, and support hazardous waste duties as required.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent (Preferred).
• One to Two years of related experience.
• Must understand and adhere to quality and safety policies.

Aufgaben

• Disassemble, wash, and reassemble freight/locomotive valves or brake pistons.
• Identify serviceable vs. non-serviceable parts.
• Operate semi-automatic equipment (pedestal/hand buffers, wash machines, ultrasonic washers).
• Handle valves, parts, and tools safely.
• Use power and manual tools (impact wrenches, drills).
• Follow quality and safety rules, guidelines and procedures.
• Perform hazardous waste management duties as needed.
