Job summary

Watco in Michigan is seeking a Supervisor to oversee train crews, coordinate switching operations in rail yards, and ensure safe handling of cars and customers' needs.

This role requires leadership, adherence to safety rules and regulatory requirements, and the ability to train others; candidates must have locomotive engineers and conductor certifications and be at least 18 with a HS diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass and obtain all required reporting, testing, and certifications.
• Must hold and continue to hold a current locomotive engineers and conductor’s certification.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and coordinates train crews.
• Communicates switching orders to train crews focusing on safety and efficiency.
• Utilize various systems and reports to organize and communicate customer changes to cars.
• Ensure daily train lists are executed accurately and timely by train crews.
• Investigate and provide accurate reports for any incidents or accidents.
