Job summary

Lusternational is seeking a Utilities Coordinator for a large, complex rail infrastructure program in the greater San Francisco Bay Area, CA. You will identify utility conflicts, coordinate with public and private owners, and keep clearance aligned with the project schedule.

The role requires strong communication, multi-tasking, and collaboration with legal counsel and project leadership to resolve conflicts and maintain compliance with environmental and right-of-way standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 6+ years of utility coordination experience on transportation infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of utility systems and right of way requirements.
• Ability to read plans and identify conflicts.
• Proficiency with utility mapping and plan review tools.
• Proficiency with project/construction management software.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Identify utility conflicts early and coordinate with owners to resolve them.
• Coordinate with utility owners to confirm ownership and relocation requirements.
• Maintain the conflict matrix and track relocation schedules.
• Prepare permit applications and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
• Review design plans and support field investigations and relocations.
• Coordinate subsurface utility engineering in dense urban corridors.
• Maintain coordination records and approvals for payment and audits.
